NEEM Scheme is a program which is modeled along the apprenticeship or on the job training system. If we go by the policy rules of the scheme we would know that it is quite flexible in providing OJT opportunities to the target audience. NEEM Scheme is also unique in a sense that it does not complicate the labour hiring process for the Industries. An intermediary called NEEM Facilitator is responsible for taking care of all HR formalities on behalf of the Industry. In no way, any industry hiring NEEM Trainee is obligated to offer full-time employment to the trainee, and an offer of apprenticeship is not an offer for employment. However, it’s on the discretion of the hiring Industry If they feel like they can hire the trainee full time. However, this is not an OBLIGATION for the organization conducting the program. Till now many Industries have been benefited by adopting this scheme in their trainee and skills development mix. We as a responsible agency would urge more and more Industries to come forward and reap big benefits by imbibing and implementing NEEM Scheme.

Eligibility

A person seeking training under NEEM shall be at least 16 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on the date of registration and minimum 10th Passed.

Training Period

NEEM training shall be for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 36 months and the trainings must be NSQF compliant.

Hours of Work

As prescribed by the Employer/Company/Industry, where the Trainee is placed.

Certification

Certification Will be issued at the completion of the training

Insurance Coverage

Employee Compensation Act coverage is mandatory additional to the Mediclaim and Personal Accident Policy and Group policy
